Lux Lime Gold

For this lime gold goodness, I used Delicacy from the I ❤️ Revolution Turkish Delight palette as my base color. It's got a nice coppery shimmer. I then turned to the Klarity Kosmetics So Mermaizing palette and used Oh Ship on my eyelids. (If you don't know Klarity Kosmetics, you should fix that. I'll post a link at the bottom. Minority and female-owned business to support, yay!). Over the center of my eyelid, I added layers of Fiesta from Revolution's Birds of Paradise palette. On my outer corner, I added Healing Heart from ColourPop's Aura and Out palette. Since all these colors bare fairly light, they needed a couple of layers to achieve saturation. Don't be shy!

Above the crease, I went with Call Me on My Shellphone, from So Mermaizing. I wanted a little more contrast, so in the crease I added a line of Capri from the Limoncello palette by ColourPop, and blended it out. I still didn't have the depth I wanted, though, so I added a thin line of Sing from Misunderstood, which is a deep, rich, copper-brown sparkle, and blended that out. That did the trick!

The look still needed something. Between the brow and halfway down, I added some Toda Y Vida from the Nomad Cartegena Magica palette.

Ooops. That kinda blew up the look, as I now had so much lime green I was getting frog eyes! Blending wasn't quite enough, so I went from the brow line to about a finger-width down with Tarte ShapeTape to cover up the excess green. That wound up being perfect, giving a glowing edge to the Capri color from the Toda Y Vida. I dipped back into Delicacy, and filled the space in. Once I blended lightly I was delighted with the results.

I used Nyx EpicWear in Jet Black on my eyeliner, but I wanted more color under my eyes. I dipped back into the Misunderstood palette for some Diablo shadow, and added a line of that below the black. Perfect! Two coats of Thrive Causemetics Liquid Lash Extensions mascara, top and bottom lashes, and I was feeling this look all the way to my toes!

I tried a coral lipstick initially, but that just clashed too much with the lime. My second try, using Revolution's Unicorn Story, did much better. I topped that with ColourPop's Lux gloss in Peace Lily for a little more shimmer. I feel like the gloss makes the most of my lips. They're pretty full as is, so I avoid plumping products, but I feel like the gloss has a similar effect and makes the most of the natural fullness.

The one thing I do have to watch in the future with this colorway is that I feel like my crow's feet were emphasized a bit. Or do they always look like that, and I didn't notice? Now that I'm paying more attention to my makeup and skincare, I feel like I keep noticing things I missed before. Anyone else get that?

Anyway, lovelies, that's enough from me. Please enjoy links to the products below, and if you do a take on this look, post it! I would love love love to see it!
